South Africa U19 Women have clinched a 2-0 lead in their three-match T20 series against USA U19 Women following a commanding seven-wicket win on Tuesday.

After being sent in to bowl, the South African side delivered a disciplined performance to restrict the visitors to 114-8 in their 20 overs.

Captain Kayla Reyneke led from the front with an impressive three-wicket haul, while Nthabiseng Nini provided crucial support, claiming two wickets.

In response, Jemma Botha anchored the chase with a superb unbeaten 54.

She set the tone with Simoné Lourens (21), the pair contributing a solid 40-run partnership for the opening wicket.

Botha then found a reliable ally in Diara Ramlakan (26) and the hosts comfortably reached the target with more than four overs to spare.

The two teams will meet again on Wednesday for the third and final match of the series.
