It will mean consecutive early mornings for SuperSport viewers, but the non-stop action ought to rouse anyone, especially with the great Hulk Hogan and Titus O’Neil hosting the event.

It will be the first WWE show with fans since last March, although numbers will be limited for the biggest championship weekend of the year.

Each night will be headlined by a world championship bout. Night one has Drew McIntyre challenging for Bobby Lashley’s WWE Championship and night two has the main event of the weekend with Roman Reigns defending his Universal Championship against both Edge and Daniel Bryan.

Their all-in bout will take place against a backdrop of health issues faced by all three. Three years ago, Reigns was forced to vacate the universal title when he found himself in a battle with leukaemia.

Bryan, in turn, suffered a series of concussions that forced him into an official retirement in 2016. Only two years later did he return after getting the all-clear.

For Edge, real name Adam Copeland, he made a comeback in 2020 after nine years in the wilderness. He had been forced into retirement when he began to feel numbness in his arms after a previous cervical vertebral fusion. Fully healed, he is now a regular on the WWE roster.

As is tradition at WrestleMania, celebrities from other walks of life will be a central part of the fun and action.

Rapper Bad Bunny will be wrestling in a tag team match, teaming with Damian Priest against John Morrison and The Miz. YouTube personality Logan Paul will be the guest cornerman for Sami Zayn against Kevin Owens, and Ash Costello from the rock band New Year’s Day will play Rhea Ripley down to the ring for her Raw Women’s Championship match against Asuka, ensuring a fantastic blend of action and entertainment.

The presence of Hulk Hogan and Titus O’Neil will add to the pageantry of the weekend.

Hogan is one of the biggest names in WWE history. In 1984, “Hulkamania” was officially born when he defeated The Iron Sheik to become WWE Champion at Madison Square Garden. He went on to headline WrestleMania III, where he successfully defended the WWE Championship against Andre The Giant in front of a record 93 173 fans at the Pontiac Silverdome.

Hogan went on to win six WWE Championships, starred in movies, television shows and became an idol to a vast legion of fans he dubbed “Hulkamaniacs.”

O’Neil is one of the most philanthropic Superstars in WWE history and a former WWE Tag Team and 24/7 Champion. He is an ambassador for WWE and helps thousands of individuals through various non-profits and WWE partners.
