Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi insists he will solve the team's goalscoring conundrum as they go in search of only their second-ever win against TS Galaxy in the Betway Premiership on Monday, December 16.

Kick-off is at 3.30pm CAT (SA, GMT+2)

Current form:

The Glamour Boys have won just one of their last five outings and they will be looking to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat away to Polokwane City on December 8.

Amakhosi created a plethora of chances against Rise And Shine, but were made to pay for their wastefulness as goals in each half from Oswin Appollis (17') and Mokibelo Ramabu (90') condemned them to a third loss of the season.

Chiefs sit two points outside the top eight in ninth place and Nabi believes they are heading in the right direction under his guidance, although he stressed that finishing remains a real problem for the Soweto giants.

The Rockets have made a fine start to life under Adnan Beganovic, who took over the reins from Sead Ramovic after the 1-1 draw with Stellenbosch on November 6.

Galaxy registered their first victory of the campaign in Beganovic's opening match in charge against Sekhukhune United (a 3-1 win) to climb off the foot of the table.

The Mpumalanga outfit then held Polokwane to a 1-1 draw before edging AmaZulu 1-0 on December 7 in what was only their second home game of the season, which took them one point clear of the danger zone in 13th position.

WHAT WAS SAID:

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi

"I think we are the best team that creates many real opportunities in the PSL. We don't have another solution, we only need to continue working seriously.

"I don't want to kill my players' morale today, I want to support them and we continue to work hard. This is football, the big problem for us is only in the final third, this is our problem.

"I have confidence in my players, I have confidence in the future, we are in the right direction, we are clear, and myself and my technical team are confident.

"Kaizer Chiefs are in the right direction, I am 100 per cent sure that we are in the right direction. Don't worry, we need to support players, we need to help them.

"I know it's not easy, this is football, and the only problem is scoring, but I observe the problem of my team and we will get it right."

PLAYERS TO WATCH:

TS Galaxy - Ira Tape produced a fine performance against Usuthu to keep his first clean sheet in six appearances this term since joining Galaxy from Ethiopian side Hadia Hosaina in August. The Ivorian goalkeeper pulled off a smart save to deny Hendrick Ekstein on 40 minutes and did well to block Etiosa Ighodaro at point-blank range three minutes later after spilling Rowan Human's initial shot from range. Tape can expect a busy afternoon when Chiefs arrive at the Mbombela Stadium eager to get back among the goals.

Kaizer Chiefs - Mduduzi Shabalala has earned the trust of Nabi after featuring in all eight league games for Amakhosi this season and is their top scorer with three goals, but he has been one of the players guilty of failing to take their chances. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder got himself into some good positions against Rise And Shine, although he only managed to work the goalkeeper once, firing wide on a couple of occasions.
