Stuurman takes five as Boland takes the lead

Glenton Stuurman registered his 16th first-class five-wicket haul as he helped Goldrush Boland take the lead in their CSA 4-Day Series match against the Hollywoodbets Dolphins at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead on Sunday. At lunch, Boland was on 93/4.

Keen to establish a sizable lead in the least time, Boland came out to bat their second innings with an aggressive intent. Blayde Capell (33) and Clyde Fortuin raced to a 63-run fourth-wicket partnership in nine overs. The duo was going at a brisk run rate of seven runs an over. They joined forces after the loss of three quick wickets.

The Dolphins' bowlers were on the mark as soon as they took the new ball. Okuhle Cele struck in the second and six overs to reduce the visitors to 24/2. Daryn Dupavillon made it three wickets in the seventh over as the home side endeavoured to limit the damage Boland could inflict on them with the bat. Cele was the leading wicket-taker with two wickets for 24 runs in five overs.
