ZESCO United have seen their lead at the top of the MTN Super League cut to just three points in recent with a single win three fixtures and now face a tricky home clash with ZANACO in Ndola on Sunday.

ZESCO need to get back on track after their recent set-backs and come up against a side who are winless in eight (D5 L3) since 17August.

But that does not mean ZANACO won’t cause their hosts problems.

The last three meetings have seen a win each and a draw, and it could be tight again despite the fact the teams are at opposite ends of the table.

Champions Red Arrows made a sticky start to the season but have founds their form and will be chasing a third successive win when they go to Nkana.

That game is on Sunday, which means a win by a two-goal margin will put Arrows top of the table before ZESCO play a day later.

The vagaries of the fixture list means this will be the first meeting between the clubs in almost a year, with Arrows having won both games 1-0 last season.

Before that Nkana won 1-0 and there was a 0-0 draw, so goals have been scarce.

Arrows’ win last season was their only success at Nkana since 2015.

Power Dynamos have risen to third in the table on the back of three successive victories, and will be expected to make that four when they go to Lumwana Radiants.

Radiants have not had a win in their last 13 meetings with Dynamos, though they have managed six draws.

Mutondo Stars’ run of four straight wins came to an end last weekend when they were held to a 1-1 draw by ZANACO.

They now host unpredictable Green Buffaloes, who they beat 3-0 in this fixture last season.

Just one place, and one point, separate the two sides on the table.

NAPSA Stars and Forest Rangers are locked on 12 points each in mid-table and clash on Saturday, while Nchanga Rangers go to Atletico Lusaka, who are unbeaten at home this season (W2 D2).

In other matches on Saturday, Green Eagles host Mufulira Wanderers, Kabwe Warriors welcome FC MUZA and bottom side Indeni, without a win all season, travel to Nkwazi.
