Struggling Magesi have added Thabang Sibanyoni to their squad on transfer deadline day as the end of the January transfer window approached on Tuesday, the club announced.

The 29-year-old striker moves from Richards Bay where he made three starts and six substitute appearances this season. He had been on loan at the club from Mamelodi Sundowns.

It is unclear whether Magesi, who sit at the bottom of the Betway Premiership, have taken Sibanyoni on loan or signed him outright.

He is the fifth player that the Polokwane-based club have added to their roster in the transfer window after signing Ntsako Makhubela, the former Lamontville Golden Arrows and Orlando Pirates winger who had been without a club after departing Richards Bay at the end of the last season.

Magesi also signed Camren Ashby, Lehlohonolo Mtshali and Mcedi Vandala from neighbours Sekhukhune United.

Magesi meet SuperSport United in their Nedbank Cup first round tie in Polokwane on Tuesday (live on SuperSport at 7pm).

The transfer window is due to close at the end of business on Tuesday.
