AmaZulu ring the changes in DDC technical team
AmaZulu have confirmed the appointment of Reneilwe “Yeye” Letsholonyane as the new club’s DStv Diski Challenge head coach.
Yeye joined AmaZulu last season as the Under-17 coach. Towards the end of the season, when Diski Challenge Siboniso Vilakazi was roped into the first team as an assistant coach, Yeye also moved to Diski Challenge to assist Siyabonga Nomvethe, who took over replacing Vilakazi.
However, heading to the new campaign, Usuthu has let go of Nomvethe and given the coaching task to Letsholonyane, who holds a Caf B coaching licence.
“The following changes will also occur within the youth technical structures,” the club stated.
“U15: Taoni Banda has been promoted to head coach and will be assisted by Princess Motaung. U17: Brice Petersen moves up to the U17s and will be assisted by Amanda Sithole.
“U19: Andile Cele continues as head coach of U19s but also moves into the assistant coaching role in the DDC team.
“DDC: Reneilwe Letsholonyane is the new DDC head coach working with Andile Cele, Aubrey Vilakazi, Sanele Dlamini, Mkhuliseni Mkhize and Bukelani Mthembu as team manager.”
The 2021 Diski Rewired champions finished the past season in position eight after 30 matches. In the upcoming season, they will be hoping to return at their best which saw them winning the Diski Challenge title two seasons ago.
