St George back on top, Bahir Dar, Wolaitta Dicha draw

St George returned to the top of the BetKing Ethiopia Premier League table with a hard fought 2-1 win over Dire Dawa.

St.George needed just 11 minutes into the second half to break the deadlock and it was Abel Yalew who broke the resistance of Dire Dawa in the 56th minute.

Biniyam Getachew equalized for Dire Dawa in the 61st minute and at 1-1, it looked like they will manage to hold out for a draw.

However, cometh the hour, cometh the man as they say, and it was "Agoro-time" once again, as St George's Togolese Striker, Ismail Ouro-Agoro once again proved irresistible with a sumtous finish with 4 minutes to go

The 2-1 final score moved St George to 32 points, two more than Ethiopian Insurance to underline their quest once again for another title.
