Adama down Wolkite, Arbaminch, Hawassa all square

Adama City earned a superb 3-1 win over Wolkite City in their week clash at the Dire Dawa International Stadium as Arbaminch City and Hawassa City finished 1-1

It was a welcome boost for Adama who had dropped points in their last two games

Yosef Tarekenge shot Adama into the lead on 38 minutes, a scoreline they took into the halftime break.

Desta Yohannes converted a penalty in the 51st minute to go 2-0 up

Wolkite's legendary striker and Captain, Getaneh Kebede pulled one back for them in the 72nd minute from a penalty but Binyan Ayten restored Adama's 2 goals cushion on 85 minutes, 3-1 the final scores.

Wolkite are in 7th despite the loss with 20 points but Adama's win shoots them up to 10th on the log with 18 points.

Earlier in the day, Temesgen Derese once again proved his mettle as Arbaminch City 's lynchpin with a goal in the 8th minute.

Mujib Kassim for the second week in a row got on the score sheet for Hawassa with a well taken penalty to draw them level for 1-1

The result means Adama remain in 5th place on 21 points while Arbaminch City

are in 12th with 17 points.
