Adama City returned to winning ways on home turf with a 2-0 win over Ethio Electric on Friday and Wolkite City compounded Sidama Coffee's woes with a 2-1 defeat.

Adama and Ethio Electric completed a competitive first half on a goalless note but it all came alive in the second half.

They eventually got their breakthrough on 72 minutes through Desta Yohannis .

Jemil Yakob made it 2-0 in the 76th minute.

Adama City moved up the log to eighth leaving Ethio Electric still ensconced in 15th and staring relegation in their eyes.

The second game was billed as the game of legends with Salahdin Seid and Getaneh Kebede on display for Sidama Coffee and Wolkite City respectively.

However, there was no joy for either Salahdin or Kebede not for last season's top scorer, Yigezu Bogale, but there were goals and other goalscorers

Wolkite City got on the scoresheet early in the game with a 21st minute strike by Temesgen Bejrond.

Sidama Coffee started the second half on a stronger note and were rewarded just four minutes after the restart with an equaliser scored by Tewdros Tafesse.

It looked like it was going to end in a draw until the 82nd minute when Wolkite found space through Fasil Abebayehu who produced a delightful finish to take the game to 2-1.

Wolkite City jumped one space higher to 12th above Arbaminch City with Sidama Coffee still holed up in 14th.
