Hambericho, Ethiopia Coffee goalless, Adama and Insurance draw

Hambericho Durame pulled off a surprise result when they held Ethiopia Coffee to a goalless draw.

The result prevented Ethiopia Coffee from a fourth consecutive win, but they are still third on the log. The one point adds to Hambericho's lean collection.

Adama City and Ethiopian Insurance played out a 2-2 draw in the first fixture of the day.

It was Adama City who drew first blood as early as the sixth minute through Biniam Ayiten to go 1-0 up.

Ayiten completed his brace in the 68th minute as Adama went 2-0 up and looked to be routing Ethiopian Insurance.

However, Biruk Mulugeta pulled one back for Ethiopian Insurance in the 70th minute.

Insurance got back on level terms 10 minutes later with a goal by Yared Darza to ignite a frantic finish.

Ethiopian Insurance move to 12 points but with no movement on their league position as they are still in 13th place and 4 points behind 12th-placed Dire Dawa.

Adama are in sixth place with 23 points, level with Fasil Kenema in fifth position.
