Adama, Fasil and Shashemene, Dire Dawa end in draws

Adama City drew 1-1 with Fasil Kenema, and Shashemene City ended 1-1 with Dire Dawa City in the Ethiopia Premier League at the Adama Science and Technology University Stadium.

 The games produced high drama and entertainment but few goals, but Adama drew first blood in their tie with Ali Bona on target in the 8th minute.

Fasil's legendary Striker,  Getaneh Kebede equalized in the 4th minute of extra time at the break.

Both teams went in at halftime 1-1 with all the play for in the second half but there were no goals.

The draw leaves them both separated with a point and Adama remains in 6th with 22 points,  Fasil in 5th on 23 points.

It was the reverse in the second game between Shashemene City and Dire Dawa, with both sides unable to score in a goalless first half.

However,  Surafel Getachew gave Dire Dawa a 1-0 lead in the 51st minute.

Shashemene equalized three minutes later through Alan Kayiwa's 54th minute strike from the penalty spot.

It proved enough to earn Shashemene another valuable point in their relegation battle, 1-1 it ended.

Shashemene moved to 9 points and in 14th place, replacing Wolkite City who dropped to 15th.

Shashemene are now just one point and one place behind Ethiopian Insurance in 13th place with 10 points and their opponents, Dire Dawa in 12th, 6 points ahead.
