Bogale could make history while Sidama and others play for pride
The BetKing Ethiopia Premier League positions are all but decided but Sidama Coffee striker Yigezu Bogale can make history if he scores this weekend..
Yigezu has already written his name into the history books when he announced himself on the opening day with a hat-trick, but he has struggled to keep up with the top guns while playing alongside arguably Ethiopia's greatest striker, Saladin Seid, who joined Sidama in mid-season
Bogale is tied for the top scorer award on 14 goals with Abubeker Nasir, Getaneh Kebede and Richmond Adongo of relegated Addis Ababa City.
All the others have finished their seasons, with Nasir joining Sundowns in South Africa and Adongo failing to score in Addis Ababa 's 0-4 loss to champions St George.
A goal on Saturday when he faces Hadiya Hossana would take his tally to 15 and secure the top scorer crown.
Meanwhile, Sidama and Hadiya Hossana are playing for pride
Sidama Coffee will finish third this season no matter their result against Hadiya Hossana on Saturday
Sidama will want to increase their points tally but Hadiya Hossana can finish as high as eighth with a win, which will take their points from 36 to 39.
This tally means they will top Wolkite, who have finished on 38.
Jimma Aba Jifar are relegated, but like Sebeta want to go down fighting against Defence Force, also known as Mekelakeya.
Ethiopia Coffee will again be without their favourite son Abubeker Nasir when they close their season with a tie against Bahir Dar in their own backyard.
Ethiopia coffee are sixth and a win will take them to fifth.
Bahir Dar and Mekelakeya can finish ninth with a win, taking their points tally from 34 to 37 to overtake Adama, who are on 36 points.
Jimma on 33 can finish on 36 points, while Sebeta can get to 25 points.
As we saw with Fasil's defeat to Dire Dawa, it's all to play for.
