Kansanshi Dynamos celebrate @KansanshiF

ZESCO United have claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over Red Arrows in their MTN Super League clash on Wednesday, closing in to within two points of table-toppers Kabwe Warriors, who slipped to a surprise loss.

Moise Lola scored the only goal with 12 minutes remaining, a fifth win in 11 games this season which leaves ZESCO in fourth in the table, level on 19 points with Arrows.

Both teams have an identical record (W5 D4 L2).

Kansanshi Dynamos defeated Kabwe Warriors 2-0 to bring the latter’s four-game winning streak to an end.

Jimmy Mukeya scored the first goal after eight minutes and Justin Kang’ombe made sure of the win late on.

FC MUZA were also surprise losers as they went down 2-1 at Nkwazi FC.

Joseph Banda put the home side ahead before MUZA were level when Henry Besa put the ball into his own net.

But the hosts wouldn’t be denied as Emmanuel Chabula scored in injury-time to win the game.

Champions Power Dynamos returned to winning ways for the first time in five matches with a 2-0 home win over Mutondo Stars.

Goals in either half from Godfrey Ngwenya and Jacob Kaunda sealed the victory, which moves Dynamos up to sixth in the table.

Nkana FC claimed only a second win of the season when they defeated Konkola Blades.

Eric Yema and Royd Katuna scored the goals for them, the latter netting in the 93rd minute to snatch the win.

Nkana remain second bottom but have at least closed the gap on those above them.

George Ngoma scored the only goal as Green Buffaloes claimed a 1-0 home win over ZANACO, and NAPSA Stars were held to a goalless draw by bottom side Trident FC.

Finally, Prison Leopards claimed a 2-1 home win over Forest Rangers as David Obashi netted an early penalty and Mike Mambepa added a second.

Moro Amenu scored a late consolation for the visitors.
