As one of the poorest performing teams in the Motsepe Foundation Championship currently, Leruma United will hope to return to winning ways this weekend when they face a stern test in the form of JDR Stars at the Soshanguve Giant Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Leruma will head into this weekend’s fixture list at the bottom of the log after accumulating just 10 points from 15 matches played so far this season.

More alarmingly, Leruma are on a run of four consecutive defeats, with their latest being a 1-0 loss to Orbit College last Saturday.

JDR Stars on the other hand, are in third position, with 28 points to their name after matchday 15. While JDR recorded an action packed 3-3 draw with Baroka last time out, the Pretoria club trail log leaders Durban City by four points.

Seeking their fifth win on the trot, table toppers Durban City are scheduled to face Casric Stars at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on Friday afternoon.

Following victories against Upington City, Leruma United, Milford and Hungry Lions, Durban City hold a three-point gap over second placed Orbit College, who are away to Black Leopards at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday.
