Mamelodi Sundowns head into the October international break four points clear atop the 2021/22 DStv Premiership standings.

The Brazilians look almost unstoppable but were made to work hard in a 3-0 win over Swallows FC at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, in one of three games on Sunday.

Denis Onyango pulled off a string of good saves throughout the match, but goals from Pavol Safranko, Neo Maema and Peter Shalulile - who can't stop scoring - sealed a comprehensive win for the hosts.

Victor Letsoalo is another who has been in hot goal-scoring form and the Bafana Bafana forward found the back of the net for Royal AM in a 2-1 win over Maritzburg United, in a KwaZulu-Natal derby Chatsworth Stadium.

Letsoalo opened the scoring with his fifth of the season in a game in which a late Zukile Kewuti equaliser threatened to halt Royal AM's winning run, but Tshepo Rikhotso popped up with a stoppage-time winner for Thwihli Thwahla.

Staying in the KwaZulu-Natal province, Lamontville Golden Arrows thrashed a struggling Marumo Gallants side 3-1 at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in the day's other match.

Nkosinathi Sibisi, Knox Mutizwa and Siyabonga Khumalo all scored for Abafana Bes'thende who climbed up to fifth spot. Bahlabane Ba Ntwa remain winless and go into the break locked on two points alongside TS Galaxy in the relegation zone.
