SuperSport secures rights to broadcast African 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers & Playoffs

SuperSport viewers are set to enjoy the best football viewing experience on the road to football's greatest stage as African giants battle to make it to the USA, Mexico & Canada in 2026.

SuperSport is proud to announce that Your World of Champions has secured the broadcast rights for the 2026 Fifa World Cup Qualifiers from Matchday 5 to Matchday 10 as well as the Playoffs in November.

The road to football’s greatest stage is once again set to be broadcast on Africa’s biggest broadcaster, SuperSport, with decisive tussles on Matchday 5 and 6 adding to the intrigue and jeopardy of the fixtures.

Bafana Bafana host neighbours Lesotho in a Group C clash on Friday, 21 March 2025, with Hugo Broos’s second-placed team looking to move to the top of the table ahead of Rwanda.

The game will be live on SuperSport PSL (DStv channel 202) at 6pm CAT (SA, GMT+2).

The 1996 Afcon winners’ away trip to Benin on Tuesday, 25 March 2025 will also be live on the same channel at 6pm.

In another not-to-be-missed encounter, the Super Eagles of Nigeria, who were Afcon 2023 finalists, will take on Rwanda live on SuperSport Football (DStv channel 205) at 6pm.

CAF Men’s Player-of-the-Year Ademola Lookman and his teammates turn their attention to Zimbabwe when they host the Warriors live on SuperSport Football (DStv Channel 205) on Tuesday, 25 March.

Historical giants and Group I favourites, Ghana, will be looking to evoke past glories and climb up the standings when they host Chad on Friday, 21 March on SuperSport PSL (DStv Channel 202).

Unlike the Black Stars, Egypt have taken command of Group A.

The Pharaohs, who boast English Premier League stars Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush, go away to second-from-bottom Ethiopia on Friday, 21 March, live on SuperSport PSL (DStv channel 202) at 11pm.

Their North African counterparts, Algeria, are in for a tougher assignment as they travel to face Botswana.

The Group G clash that is set to kick-off at 6pm on SuperSport PSL (DStv channel 202) on Friday 21, March will prove decisive in a tight group that sees the Dessert Foxes locked at the top of the table on nine points with Mozambique, an opponent they host on Tuesday, 25 March live on SuperSport PSL (DStv channel 202) at 11pm.

Group H sees Malawi and Namibia looking to reel in runaway leaders Tunisia as Mamelodi Sundowns marksman Peter Shalulile and Co. hope to douse the fire when The Flames host them on Thursday, 20 March live on SuperSport LaLiga (DStv 204) at 6pm.
