Warriors climb to top of MTN Super League

Kabwe Warriors moved to the top of the MTN Super League table with a 2-0 away victory over Zesco United, who they leapfrogged to the summit of the division on Saturday.

Warriors secured a fifth win in a row to take the lead in the Super League with 28 points from their 14 matches, two more than Zesco.

Gabriel Banda put Warriors in front after only six minutes, before Francis Banda added a second five minutes after halftime.

Nkana FC continued their excellent recent form with a 3-0 home win over Green Buffaloes.

Nkana climb up to fifth in the table, six points behind Warriors, after a fifth win in Six games (L1). Goals from Jacob Ngulube, Lazarous Kambole and Mathews Banda gave them the points.

The only other game on Saturday saw Napsa Stars held to a 1-1 home draw with FC Muza.

Steven Changala gave the latter the lead in the first half, but an equaliser two minutes from the end by Evans Kayombo snatched a point for Stars.
