Nkana FC claimed victory in the Kitwe Derby as they defeated power Dynamos 2-1 in a MTN Super League clash that was staged in Ndola on Saturday, the only team in the top six that was able to register a win.

Kabwe Warriors lead the table with 29 points from their 15 games, one ahead of Power Dynamos.

ZESCO United are on 27 points and Nkana have risen to 25 points as they make it known they are genuine title challengers this season.

Lazarous Kambole put Nkana ahead in the first half, before Harrison Chisala added a second early in the second half.

Moses Phiri pulled a goal back for Dynamos 10 minutes from the end, but Nkana hung on.

Warriors were held to a 0-0 draw by NAPSA Stars, while ZESCO United played to a 1-1 draw at Lumwana Radiants.

Benjamin Mukanda put Radiants in front with a little under 20 minutes to play, but Tandi Mwape equalised from the penalty-spot.

Green Eagles and Green Buffaloes also played to a 1-1 draw as Simon Mulenga put the Eagles ahead, only for Charles Mumba to draw Buffaloes level.

Zanaco and Nchanga Rangers were also locked at 1-1 as the latter led through Bornwell Mwape. But the home side managed an equaliser three minutes into injury-time via Yves Eloundou.

In the other game on the day, FC MUZA and Nkwazi FC finished goalless.
