St George  Mekelakeya tie, Shashemene, Bahir Dar goalless

St George's quest to return to the summit of the Ethiopia Premier League failed as they could only hold Mekelakeya to a 1-1 draw.

Shashemene City and Bahir Dar City played out a goalless draw.

Both results didn't change much on the log but only strengthened the very competitive nature of the season.

Minyilu Wondimu for Mekelakeya and Abel Yalew have been top performing stars this season in the League and both came to the party.

Wondimu gave Mekelakeya a 19th minute lead to set up some excitement for the Defence Force fans

Abel Yalew equalized for St George when he scored on 28 minutes.

Both sides went into the break tied at 1-1 and the game remained so till the end.

St George remain 4th on the log, and Mekelakeya still  in second position
