Rory Kleinveldt: 'I am confident we’ll get over the line' ahead of the 4-Day Series final

World Sports Betting Western Province bowling coach Rory Kleinveldt is confident the depth in the squad will overcome any difficulties faced in the CSA 4-Day Series final.

Province will lock horns with DP World Lions in the campaign's last finale at DP World Wanderers on Wednesday.

The match will start at 10:00 and will be aired live on SuperSport Channel 207.

Kleinveldt has praised the team's resilience this season, with the World Sports Betting Newlands based side set to play its second final this season having won the CSA 1 Day Cup earlier this season.

He says the team won't change much heading to the final but knows conditions at Wanderers might play a huge role.

"I don't think anything has to change from what we have been doing. Obviously, conditions will play a huge role," said Kleinveldt.

"Assessing that and understanding what's needed on that particular surface is going to go a long way into us doing well in the final.

"I feel like we've got enough experience in the changing room to be able to give us a quick assessment of what conditions are like and how we need to go about conquering those conditions.

"We're in a really good place. This final is coming at a good time for us. Guys are confident coming off two wins to get us into this stage of the competition.

"Hopefully we can carry that momentum through into the final and get us through the next five days."

With Province having a good season and starting the campaign on a high, Kleinveldt has applauded the team.

"It's been an amazing season to be a part of. We've played really good cricket throughout the summer. I think the most notable thing for me is that we have an identity as a team in terms of how we want to play and how we want to go about our business. And everyone's committed to that 100 per cent," he says.

"I feel that that is the most important thing for us. That is one of the major reasons why we're sitting in the position we're in at the moment.

"At no stage have we ever doubted our processes or our philosophy in terms of how we want to play. Yes, we've had some sticky moments in the season.

"But ultimately, I think there's so much more clarity in how guys are preparing for games because everyone knows exactly what's expected of them. And I feel like that's where we're winning half of the battle at the moment in our preparation”.
