New Zealand win toss and bat first in second semifinal

The New Zealand women won the toss and chose to bat first in the second ICC T20 Women’s World Cup semifinal against the West Indies at Sharjah on Friday.

 

The West Indies finished top of Group B on six points along with South Africa and England, but with a superior net run rate after they demolished England by six wickets with 12 balls to spare. New Zealand finished second in Group A behind Australia.

The winner of tonight's match will meet South Africa in Sunday’s final in Dubai after the South Africans upset current champions Australia in the first semifinal on Thursday night.
