As the final game of the 2023/24 Motsepe Foundation Championship approaches, the likes of University of Pretoria, Baroka, JDR Stars and Maritzburg United will do battle with the hope of securing a place in the PSL promotion play-off positions on Sunday.

In what will be the highlight fixture of the latest Motsepe Foundation Championship this weekend, 2nd placed AmaTuks will take on 3rd placed Baroka at the Tuks Stadium on Sunday.

The University of Pretoria struggled to gather positive results in the closing stages of the season and recorded four draws in their last four league assignments. As it stands, Tuks hold a slender two point lead over Baroka, who bagged four wins and one stalemate in their last five matches.

Then, in yet another mouthwatering encounter, 4th placed JDR Stars will host Maritzburg United at the Soshanguve Stadium this weekend. JDR are among the most in form teams in the league and are unbeaten in their last nine league fixtures, having won six encounters during this period.

While JDR Stars are level on points with Baroka (46), the Team of Choice are within three points of a play-off position while having a superior goal difference to that of AmaTuks, Baroka and JDR Stars.
