Orbit College maintain Motsepe Foundation Championship lead
In continuing their mazy run in the Motsepe Foundation Championship this season, Orbit College maintained their spot at the top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship table this week, following their 1-0 win over Pretoria Callies on Saturday.
As the standout team in South Africa’s first division this season, Orbit have now accumulated 19 points from eight games in the league.
Magesi, who commenced gameweek eight in second spot, dropped down to fourth on the log following their 0-0 stalemate with Platinum City Rovers at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Maritzburg United and Hungry Lions fired blanks in a 0-0 draw at the Windhoek Draught Park on Sunday afternoon, as the Team of Choice jumped into second-place on the table.
Elsewhere, Milford recorded a morale-boosting 2-0 win over Venda Football Academy on Friday afternoon and subsequently moved up to 10th place on the log.
After a nervy start to their 23/24 Motsepe Foundation Championship bid, Milford have now recorded back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
As the biggest win of the weekend, Baroka bagged an impressive 4-0 win over Black Leopards at the Global Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
