Exciting fights on updated card at Emperors Palace

Fight fans are looking forward to the first tournament since the Covid-19 lockdown with some excellent matchups in the junior middleweight 4@War final and the third and fourth place of the 4@War, on Saturday night, 10 October, at Emperors Palace near Kempton Park.

In the main bout of the evening, in the final of the 4@War and also the WBA Pan Africa junior middleweight title, Brandon Thysse (13-2-1; 10) meets Boyd Allen (5-0-1; 4) over ten rounds. In a battle for 3rd and 4th place, Roarke Knapp (9-1-1; 7) faces Tristan Truter (8-2; 5), also over ten rounds.

Outstanding prospect Jabulani Makhense (9-0; 4) defends his WBA Pan African junior middleweight title against the experienced Eric Kapia (22-3-2; 4) and, in an interesting matchup, Keaton Gomes (6-1; 4) goes in against Lebogang Mashitoa (7-1; 2; 2) over ten rounds.

In the opening bout of the evening, super middleweights Covin Ray (5-0; 3) and Karabo Mokupi meet over six rounds.

The tournament is scheduled to start at 6:30pm under strict conditions due to the Covid 19-pandemic, and will be shown live on Supersport.

UPCOMING BOUTS WORLDWIDE

Former IBF junior middleweight champion Ivan Barnachyk faces Jose Zepeda in a ten-round bout at the MGM Grand Conference Centre in Las Vegas on Saturday.

Bantamweight Jason Moloney (21-1; 18), who is rated at WBO #1, WBA#3, IBF #4 and WBC #5, meets Naoya “Monster” Inoue (19-0; 16) on 31 October at The Bubble at the MGM in Las Vegas on 31 October for the WBA and IBF belts.

WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis (23-0; 22) faces WBA featherweight and junior lightweight belt holder Leo Santa Cruz (37-1-1 19) on 24 October at a weight limit of 130 pounds (58.967 kg) at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, USA.

This bout is unique because all three belts will be on the line.

Former IBF middleweight champion David Lemieux (41-4; 34) meets Francy Ntetu (17-3; 4) behind closed doors at the Centre Gervais Auto on Shawinigan, Canada on 10 October.
