SuperSport United will be desperate for maximum points when they face TS Galaxy in Wednesday's Betway Premiership match at the TUT Stadium in Pretoria.

Kick-off is at 7:30 pm CAT.

CURRENT FORM

Matsatsantsa remain winless in the current season having drawn 0-0 with Royal AM at home on Saturday in what was their second league game of the season having been eliminated from the MTN8 by Orlando Pirates.

SuperSport, who are placed 11th in the Betway Premiership standings with one point from two matches, are winless in their last four matches across all competitions since they defeated Moroka Swallows in May.

Meanwhile, Galaxy are also winless in the current campaign having suffered a 1-0 defeat to Richards Bay away on 15 September in a league match having been booted out of the MTN8 by Stellenbosch FC.

The Rockets, who are placed 13th in the Betway Premiership standings without a point having played one game, are winless in their last four matches across all competitions since they defeated Orlando Pirates in May.

TEAM NEWS

SuperSport will be boosted by the return of head coach Gavin Hunt who has completed his two-match suspension, but Bradley Grobler and Grant Margeman will be missing due to long-term injuries.

Galaxy, on the other hand, will be without the services of the suspended MacBeth Mahlangu who is suspended, but they are yet to report injuries in their camp ahead of the midweek match.

WHAT WAS SAID?

SuperSport United assistant coach Andre Arendse

“I do feel goalscoring is a bit of a problem for us with just two games in the season. It was a bit of bumpy pitch for both teams, obviously. It was very difficult to play football," Arendse said after the 0-0 draw against Royal AM.

"But I felt that when we did get the ball and we had the ball for certain periods of the game, we were good in possession and the movement was better. One or two half-chances that come your way, you have to take them. Terrence (Dzvukamanja) had a good chance in the first half and it bobbled away from him in front of an empty net, and those are the things you have to be better at.

“We have to bridge that gap. We can’t just have Bradley score 14 goals in the season and the next-best is two or three goals in a season – the others have to step up. “Fair play to them ... I thought we created chances. We just have to work on consistently finishing those chances.”

TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic

"I don't want to see this kind of performance from our team, we know our strength and we have to be better," Ramovic said after the 1-0 defeat to Richards Bay.

"It was a disappointing game for us and I would like to apologise to our supporters for this kind of rubbish that we played. This was our worst performance since I came here. We have to find solutions to improve faster.

"All in all, it will be a tough season for us, but I'm still a positive guy and hopefully we can change this thing faster."

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Terrence Dzvukamanja, SuperSport United: With the team's star striker Bradley Grobler out injured, the Zimbabwe international will have to step up and inspire Matsatsantsa to a much-needed victory.

Sphiwe Mahlangu, TS Galaxy: Having scored eight league goals last season, the 29-year-old striker will carry the Rockets' hopes of securing a win over the three-time PSL Premiership champions.
