Fasil's Kassim joins Algerian club Kabylie

Mujib Kassim has sensationally transferred to top Algerian club JS Kabylie in a shock move after leading Fasil Kenema to the Ethiopia Premier League title last season.

Kassim still had one year left on his contract and was expected to lead Fasil in the Caf Champions League after his goalscoring heroics for the champions, but the lure of good earnings was too much to ignore.

Fasil Kenema have given their blessings for the star player's move, but details surrounding the deal were not made public.

Mujib previously played for Adama City, Hawassa City and Sidama Coffee.

Last season, he was one of the bright lights of the league alongside record-breaking top scorer Abubekher Nassir.

There has speculation about Nassir since the end of last season so it will be interesting to see if Ethiopia Coffee can keep hold of their star player.
