Fasil go for broke as they face Hawassa

Fasil Kenema will go into their Friday clash with fourth-placed Hawassa knowing that a win will put them just one point behind leaders St George.

The BetKing Ethiopia Premier League defending champions have been in inspired form of late, winning their last five games even as St George continue to drop points.

Fasil will look to their top scorer from last season, Mugib Kassim, as well as Okiki Afolabi for inspiration and goals.

Hawassa were once high flyers earlier this season before they slowly dropped off, but two wins in their last two games have put them in the frame for a third place finish.

A win for Hawassa will move them ahead of Sidama who were held to a 1-1 draw.

In the other games on Friday, Arbaminch City, in 7th spot, host Ethiopia Coffee who are in sixth and mounting a late rally after Wolaitta Dicha overtook them on Thursday.

Mekelakeya and Adama will square up in a midtable fixture. The Defence Boys are 10th on the log and Adama are 12th.
