Hawassa beat spirited Ethiopia Coffee

There was late drama in the BetKing Ethiopia Premier League on Monday as Hawassa beat Ethiopia Coffee 2-1 at the Bahir Dar University Stadium.
Abedulbasit Kemal had given Hawassa a 1-0 lead in the 33rd minute. As they pressed their advantage, Ethiopia Coffee caught them on the counter a few times with Asrat Tunjo and Mesfin Tafesse combining down the left, but they couldn't find the net.
The first half ended 1-0 in favour of Hawassa.

There were two late goals at the death with Hawassa getting a second goal courtesy of Tebarek Hefamo in the 90th minute.
Ethiopia Coffee looked dead and buried, but Biruk Beyene produced an audacious header from an Asrat Tunjo cross from the left to bring the stadium alive during the three minutes of added time. However, his effort proved too little too late.
Hawassa will be pleased with the victory but it seems Coffee will need a bit more time to integrate their new warriors, Abdulkerim Worku and Mesfin Tafesse who both featured throughout the match.
Beyene, who got off the mark in this match, might still prove to be handful in future.
