Baroka FC were the biggest winners in this weekend’s list of Motsepe Foundation Championship fixtures, following their 4-1 victory over La Masia on Sunday afternoon.

After trailing at the break, four second-half goals by Kagiso Selemela, Sekela Sithole, Kabelo Kgositsile and Khomotjo Lekoloane saw Baroka claim three vital points at the Global Stadium this weekend.

Bakgaga are among the most in-form teams in the league at the moment and managed to record their fourth straight win in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

The victory saw Baroka climb up to second spot on the table, following JDR Stars’ 2-1 defeat to log leaders Orbit College at the Olympia Park Stadium on Friday.

Also leapfrogging JDR Stars on the table, Magesi needed a 94th- minute own goal to record a 2-2 stalemate against Casric Stars at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday.

Magesi ended the weekend in third spot on the table, while JDR Stars plummeted to fourth on the log.

Elsewhere, Pretoria Callies recorded their first win of the 2023/24 campaign, following a surprise 3-1 victory against Maritzburg United at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Saturday.
