Platinum City Rovers & Callies worries continue to pile up

Following matchday 10 in the Motsepe Foundation Championship this week, the likes of Orbit College, Hungry Lions and JDR Stars continued to set the pace at the top of the table while Platinum City Rovers & Pretoria Callies’ woes continued at the bottom of the table.

 

Orbit College returned to winning on Tuesday afternoon, following a hard-fought 2-1 win over La Masia at the Isak Styl Stadium. As it stands, Orbit remains at the top of the pile, after accumulating 22 points from 10 games played so far.

Hungry Lions extended their unbeaten streak to six games in the Motsepe Foundation Championship on Wednesday after their 2-0 away win against Venda Football Academy at the Malamulele Stadium.

While Hungry Lions occupy second place on the table, third placed JDR kept up with the chasing pack following their 3-1 win over Platinum Stars at the Soshanguve Giant Stadium on Tuesday.

Then, at the tale end of the log, Pretoria Callies remain winless in the Motsepe Foundation Championship after their 2-0 loss to Casric Stars on Wednesday. With only seven points to their names this season, Platinum City Rovers and Callies currently occupy 15th and 16th on the log respectively.
