St George and Adama City bounced back to winning ways in their second games of the season.

Hawassa City drew 1-1 with Shul Shire after winning their first game last week against local rivals, Sidama Coffee.

It was a trepid first half with chances few and far between before ending goalless though Hawassa had the edge.

However, it was Shul Shire with the opening goal scored by Fasil Asmamaw in the 48th minute to go 1-0 up.

Hawassa will press them through the rest of the second half, and only found their equaliser on 90+2 minutes via Mohammed Suleiman own goal, 1-1 the final scores.

St George got their break quite early in the game against new Boys, Wolwalo in the 7th minute through Fasil Asmamaw.

Wolwalo equalised six minutes later when Kirubeao Wondimu produced a stunning goal.

St George's winner came from a likely source, Striker Amanuel Arbo, so often their main protagonist last season came up strong in the 71st minute, 3-1 it finished.

It was a great signal from the Horsemen, 3 points to kickstart their campaign.

The final word for the day goes to Sinteyehu Mengistu whose 67th minute goal have Adama City all 3 points.
