Casric Stars moved to the top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship this week following a 2-0 victory against JDR Stars at the Soshanguve Giant Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Milford FC, who occupied pole position heading into the latest matchday, could only manage a point in their 0-0 draw with Pretoria Callies at the TUT Stadium on Sunday. While Milford dropped points for the first time this season, Casric Stars extended their unbeaten streak in South Africa’s first division to three matches.

Elsewhere, Durban City dropped down the order in their 1-1 stalemate with Highbury at the Chatsworth Stadium on Friday afternoon. The club formerly known as Maritzburg United have now recorded two consecutive blanks and will end the latest game week in third position.

Also, Black Leopards returned to winning ways on Sunday afternoon with a 1-0 win against Orbit College at Olympia Park Stadium. Lidoda Duvha suffered a 1-0 defeat to Casric Stars last week while Orbit were unable to build on their 1-0 victory against Highbury last time out.

Then, Leruma United ended their three-match losing streak this weekend following a spirited 1-0 win against Venda Football Academy at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday.
