As matchday two in the 2024/25 Motsepe Foundation Championship marks its arrival, Kruger United and Durban City will do battle in one of the key fixtures this weekend while Milford will look to make two wins on the trot when they host JDR Stars on Saturday.

Newcomers Kruger United picked up just one point in their initial Motsepe Foundation Championship assignment following a 1-1 draw with Hungry Lions at the Suzuki Stadium last week Saturday.

The Mpumalanga-based outfit will now take on Durban City at the KaNyamazane Stadium on Sunday, with the latter looking to continue their fine start to the 24/25 campaign.

Durban City, formerly known as Maritzburg United, bagged a 2-1 win against Casric Stars at the Chatsworth Stadium last Friday. While Lesego Sebetlela gave Casric the lead in the 24th minute of the encounter, two second-half efforts by Joslin Kamatuka and Mfanafuthi Mkhize were enough for Durban City to bag maximum points on the afternoon.

Elsewhere, Milford will hope to make it two-wins on the trot when they host JDR Stars at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday. Milford’s 2-0 victory against Venda Football Academy saw them climb to the top of the league standings following Matchday 1.
