Crucial top and bottom Motsepe Foundation Championship fixtures lined up

Teams fighting at the top and bottom end of the Motsepe Foundation Championship will be under the spotlight this week as an exciting matchday 21 in South Africa’s first division draws closer.
To begin with, 14th-placed Cape Town Spurs and 15th-placed Venda Football Academy are scheduled to do battle at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Tuesday.
The Urban Warriors have gained much needed traction in the last couple of weeks, and head into their next league tie on the back of a vital 2-1 win against Highburg. Venda, on the other hand, could only manage a point in their 0-0 stalemate with Orbit College last time out.
Spurs currently have 19 points to their name, while Venda Football Academy trail the popular Cape side by two points. Both teams will be eager to avoid the drop this season, with their next game being one of the most important of the season to date.
Then, at the top of the pile, log leaders Durban City will host fellow promotion chasing side Orbit College at the Chatsworth Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Durban City returned to winning ways last week after bagging a 2-1 win against Hungry Lions at the Mxolisi Dicky Jacobs Stadium on the 1st of March. Orbit are currently on a two-match winless streak after seeing out stalemates with Casric Stars and Venda Football Academy.
As it stands, Durban City hold a six-point lead over second-placed Orbit College after 20 completed fixtures.
