Hawassa City defeated Wolaitta Dicha 2-0 in their final game of the Ethiopia Premier League season on Wednesday, while Hadiya Hossana shocked Ethiopia Coffee 2-1.

Hawassa's Ali Suleiman scored in the third minute to give the home side a 1-0 lead which they took to halftime.

Suleiman completed his brace in the 48th minute for 2-0 early in the second half and they managed to keep the lead.

The win ensures that Hawassa City will end their season in style, with 41 points and in ninth place depending on other results.

Hadiya Hossana jumped ahead of them into 8th place after beating Ethiopia Coffee 2-1.

Ethiopia Coffee's quest to finish in third position in the Ethiopia Premier League is shaky following the result.

It was Ethiopia Coffee who scored first through Anteneh Tefera in the second minute, but the lead lasted only 16 minutes.

Hadiya Hossana equalised in the 18th minute when Yehualashet Solomon scored from close range.

Solomon was on target 18 minutes later with his brace on 36 minutes taking the scores to 2-1 for Hadiya Hossana, a massive win to round off their season.

Hadiya Hossana go up the log to 8th position with 41 points and a +5 goals difference, but will have to wait until the end of the games on Saturday to find out if that's their final position at the end of the season.
