The DSTV eKasi Champ of Champs will see Chego 17 and Chipolopolo FC going head-to-head for the ultimate prize after the sides booked themselves a spot in the final of the competition, set to be played at Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday, July 3 (15h00).

The cup semifinals were tightly contested and the fact that only a total of two goals were scored across both matches is evidence of this. La Masia and Chego met in the first semifinal at Moletsane Sports Complex in Soweto, determined to qualify for the final of the inaugural DSTV eKasi Champ of Champs.

It was a cagey affair with both sides getting a feel for one another, but the deadlock was finally broken by Chego just after the half hour mark, when jersey No 9 Alricko Pandemoya latched onto a flicked header into the box, and he did the rest with a cool finish to give his side the lead. It proved to be the winning goal for his side, as Chego held on to become the first ever club to qualify for the final of the DSTV eKasi Champ of Champs.

They were later joined by Chipolopolo, who edged Beke le Beke in the other semifinal played at the same venue. Chipolopolo won the tie 1-0, courtesy of an own goal from Beke le Beke in the second half. Despite trying to push for an equalizer in the final stages of the game, Beke le Beke was unable to find the back of the net.

It means Beke le Beke will have to battle it out for third spot with La Masia on Saturday, July 2 (15h00).

In the plate section, Vaal Monate will take on Ambassadors in the final on Sunday, July 3 (13h00), after they beat Free Agents FC and A.T. Mambas respectively in the semifinals. The plate third place play off will be contested on Saturday, July 2 (13h00).
