Chippa promote 17-year-old after dazzling in Diski Challenge

Chippa United have promoted a 17-year-old Asanele Bonani to the first team from DStv Diski Challenge.

The youngster has been with the club's youth structures and made noticeable progress in the development.

Bonani made a name for himself in the Engen knockout and Diski Challenge.

His outstanding displays saw him being promoted to the club's first team.

Bonani featured for Chippa's Diski Challenge Team and received an accolade for the joint top goalscorer after scoring four goals in five games.

"The club are delighted to announce the signing of talented youngster Asanele Bonani. Bonani is born and bred in Motherwell, Gqeberha," the club announced.

"Bonani, the 17-year-old midfielder, earned himself a contract after stellar displays with the Chilli Boys DSTV Diski Challenge team this season."

Bonani joins the likes of Thulani Mini and Prince Cuwen, who were promoted to join the clubs, big boys, from Diski Challenge.
