Despite starting first on the grid, Bautista fell down the pack after a horrible start, with Jonathan Rea and Micahel Ruben Rinaldi blasting past him.

Rea went wide at turn seven attempting an overtake, though, and dropped to sixth.

Bautista got himself back into contention by taking advantage of Alex Lowes trying to overtake Rinaldi. With the Briton's eyes forward, both Bautista and Toprak Razgotlioglu were able to overtake him in quick succession.

Bautista was the first to successfully make it past Rinaldi when he took the lead on the fourth lap but it was the start of a tumble for the Italian, who was also past by Razgatlioglu, Lowes and Rea.

Lowes and Rea were too slow getting into position to keep up with the front two and Razgatlioglu just couldn't hang on to the back of Bautista, who won with a relatively comfortable 3.389s lead.

Razgatlioglu came in second ahead of Rea and Lowes with Rinaldi eventually finishing in fifth.

Xavi Vierge and Iker Lecuona had a great battle, with the former coming home sixth just two-tenths of a second ahead of his fellow Spaniard.

Andrea Locatelli came in eighth, 20.401s behind the leader, with Scott Reading and Michael Van Der Mark rounding out the top 10.
