The Ethiopia Premier League title race will take centre stage as we get into week 15 with Fasil Kenema clearly setting the pace after beating their closest rivals over the past two matchdays and now needing to consolidate as both Ethiopia Coffee and St George now need to keep winning to stand any chance of catching up.

Wolkite Ketema v Wolaitta Dicha

This is the ultimate mid-table clash as Wolaitta Dicha are on 20 points and Wolkite on 19 points, both have same goal difference and are in 6th and 7th position respectively. It promises to be a really good encounter with both in good form and having produced some good results.

Abdulkarim Worku has been combining brilliantly with Henok Ayele in the recent games for Wolkite but look out for Chernet Gugsa on the left for Wolaitta Dicha.

A draw will do them both no harm but a win for either brings them right into contention for top 4 positions with Bahir Dar and Haddiya Hossana both on 23 points ahead of them. Game is at 9am CAT on Wednesday the 10th.

Adama Kenema v Bahir Dar

Adama needs to win badly to stand a fighting chance and they have been playing well but have been unlucky with their results in the past three weeks and they sit in the bottom three points behind Jimma Aba Jifar who play a difficult game this week against league Fasil Kenema, so a win in this game will be a target.

Bahir Dar on the other hand have been pushing up the table and will fancy their chances. Fitsum Alemu has been a bright spot for them. Kick-off at 2pm CAT Wednesday.

Hadiya Hossana v Sidama Coffee

Sidama Coffee will be the fresher of both sides coming into this game after sitting out the previous matchday, but Hadiya Hossana will need to find the kind of form that saw them setting the early pace at the start of the season .

They have gone off the boil in the last 5 weeks and will need their attacking duo of Dawa Hotessa and  Kalusha Alhassan to start firing once again.

Fasil Kenema v Jimma Aba Jifar

Fasil Kenema must see this encounter as the perfect tonic to extend their lead to 11 points in case their close rivals drop points and in Mujib Kassim, they have the perfect weapon.

One good thing for them in recent weeks is that they are finding new outlets for goals, but they will be careful not to underestimate Jimma who have improved tremendously after spending most of the first round of games at the bottom.

Surafet Dagnachew,  Natnael Mashresha and especially Shemeket Gugsa have added spark to compliment Mujib's goals but Jimma Afa will look to the in-form Temesgen Derese to again inspire.

Hawassa Kenema v St George

St George has been inconsistent and have dropped points in games where they are expected to win and this is one of such games and who knows when they might decide to call back their legendary Talisman, Saladin Said who was suspended indefinitely.

In his absence, they have relied on the leadership and goals of fellow lynchpin, Getaneh Kabede who is in great form, but he is now getting more attention and hopefully young Amanuel can rise to the occasion.

Dire Dawa Kenema v Ethiopia Coffee

Abukakher Nasri has carried Ethiopia Coffee most of the season and last matchday, Fasil Kenema kept him quiet, and it would appear as if Coffee cannot bite without his goals. Dire Dawa Kenema will attempt to do just that but Nasri has shown his ability to wriggle out of close marking in so many games.

Dire Dawa's Namibian Junias Nanjebo and Itamunua Kemuine have been impressive, and they managed to hold St George to a goalless draw in their last game, so expect fireworks.
