Ethiopia Nigd continued their dominance at the top of the table with back-to-back wins after beating Hawassa City 2-1.

Wolaitta Dicha and Dire Dawa City played to a 1-1 draw in the other fixture as this incredibly competitive season continues to unfold.

It was Hawassa City who drew first blood in the tail end of the first half through Ali Suleiman's 39th minute goal.

They went into the halftime break leading 1-0 but Ethiopia Nigd Bank came out the stronger in the second half.

Simon Peter produced an equalizer on 50 minutes, just five minutes after the restart.

It will take another 15 minutes before the Bankers were rewarded for their pressure with what proved to be the winner.

Kitika Jima's 65th minute goal was enough to hand them a 2-1 win, as they retained top spot with 43 points.

The second game was cagier, with Wolaitta Dicha and Dire Dawa giving no inches in a goalless first halftime.

However, Dire Dawa went ahead in the 54th minute with Carlos Damtew on target after converting a penalty.

Wolaitta Dicha equalized ten minutes later through Buzuayehu Seife
