Day 2 of the DStv eKasi Champ of Champs saw Soweto Super United and Free Agents claim victories while Ramakokstad United and Covid 19 shared the spoils.

Newcomers Soweto Super United, comprised of players from the local surrounding areas, took on Phaphama FC from Kwa-Mhlanga in Mpumalanga in Saturday's first game.

It was a very cagey first half at the KwaMahlobo grounds in Meadowlands Zone 10 as the two teams foiled each other's attacks.

It was only with three minutes to go to the final whistle that the deadlock was finally broken.

The Soweto side was awarded a free kick outside the box.

The opposition goalkeeper failed to catch the ball cleanly and saw the ball land luckily for an SSU player to head in from close range to clinch a 1-0 victory.

The second game of the day saw Free Agents get their first win in the tournament.

The team from Tshwane was down by a goal against Ramatlaohle in the 13th minute.

Free Agents though changed gears and replied with a goal of their own to level the scores. They weren't done though and grabbed the lead just before halftime.

In the second half the Tshwane side scored three more goals, while Ramatlaohle could only muster one more.

In the end, Free Agents claimed a comfortable 5-2 victory, their first win in the history of the tournament.

In the final game of the day, Ramakokstad United FC played to a 2-2 draw against Covid 19, who equalised in the 91st minute.

That was enough for the team from the Vaal to get one point, while the side from the North West are yet to register their first win of the tournament.

Taking a look at Sunday's fixtures Black Poison play Phaphama FC at 11am, Soweto Super United take on Swidi Wodwa at 1pm and in the final game of the day at 3pm Free Agents are up against Ramokoka United.
