Phaphama FC, Swidi Wodwa through to eKasi Champ of Champs final

Mpumalanga side will be the surprise act in next Sunday's DStv eKasi Champion of Champs final after they won 4-2 on penalties to knock out Tshwane side Free Agents who were hoping to go all the way this year.

It was 1-1 at halftime and the scoreline remained the same at the end of 90 minutes. The penalties were then the decider on who progresses to make it to the final on the 2 July at the Dobsonville stadium.

In the 3 p.m. Vaal Derby kickoff, Swidi Wodwa from Orange Farm took on Covid-19. Both teams had impressive runs finishing 1st and 2nd in their respective groups, both teams cancelled each other out, the rivalry was fierce and intense as a Sunday afternoon game should be.

It was goalless at halftime; the game's only goal came in the second half as Swidi Wodwa edged out 19 1-0 to make the cup finals next Sunday.

The Plate final will see another Kasie football Soweto derby when Soweto Super United take on Black Poison. This game will kick off at 1 pm with the cup final to be played at 3 pm. Phaphama FC from KwaMhlanga will take on Swidi Wodwa.

The winners of the Cup will pocket R250 000 while the winners of the plate will walk away with R70 000. You can catch all the action on SuperSport channels 202 and 209.
