The 3rd/ 4th placed play-0ffs, of the DStv eKasi champion of champs, took place on Saturday at the Moletsane sports complex in Soweto.

In the 11 am kick-off, Northwest side Ramokokastad FC were up against Limpopo side Ramatlaohle, in the plate cup, it was an exciting game as both sides had a point to prove,

The Northwest side went into the halftime break leading 2-1.

At the end of 90 minutes, six goals had been scored as both teams played to a 3-3 draw. It was then up to the lottery of a penalty shoot-out to separate the two sides and give us a winner. Ramokokastad won the shoot-out 5-4.

The other cup play-off was between Tshwane side and the only team to have played in last year's edition of this tournament, Free Agents, to take on Vaal side Covid-19. This was also a repeat of the opening game of the tournament that was played on Youth Day at the KwaMahlobo sports ground.

The two teams showed a high tactical display and discipline, unlike in the earlier encounter where Covid-19 ran away with a 3-1 victory, this encounter proved to be far more difficult as both sides found it difficult to pierce through each other's defense, it was goalless at halftime.

It was only after the hour mark that the game got its first goal. Covid-19 would repeat their opening day's feat by once again beating the Tshwane side 2-1 to end their tournament on a high.

The finals of the tournament will be played at the Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday. Winners of the Plate final between Black Poison and Soweto Super United will take home an amount of R75 000, while an amount of R250 000 will be up for grabs in the Champion of Champs tournament Cup final when Phaphama FC take on Swidi Wodwa at the 3 pm kick-off.
