This is the final match week of the Betking Ethiopia Premier League 2020/21 season is upon us and quite some mouth-watering matches to round off what has been a very entertaining season with a lot still to play for despite the fact Champions have been crowned.

The biggest prize on offer is the second-place battle now down to the top two Clubs in the land and eternal rivals, Ethiopia Coffee and St George.

Hawassa Kenema v Dire Dawa Kenema

Hawassa Kenema had a really good run towards the end to the season but suddenly dropped off over the last five games when they just couldn’t buy a wn but Dire Dawa on the other hand are unbeaten in the same period.

Hawassa have dropped from 7th to the 8th position and most likely will finish not less than 8th. and would wish that there was more weeks and games to play

St George v Wolkite Ketema

St George needs to win this tie and hope that Ethiopia Coffee lose their game with Adama Kenema and by a wide margin because they will also need to win by at least 4 goals to overhaul them.

They will also hope that Abubakher Nassir drops a Teacup on his toes or falls or some imagined misfortune that can prevent him from showing up for the game because on his current form, he just needs to show up for games to break scoring records.

Can Wolkite Ketema put them out of their misery with a shock defeat or a draw?

Wolaitta Dicha v Sidama Coffee

Wolaitta Dicha have one of the revelations of the season and a strong contender for Player of the season alongside Abubekher Nassir and Fasil Striker, Mujib Kassim and that is their exciting forward, Chernet Gugsa.

They will have to cope with Sidama’s Nigerian nightmare, Okiki Afolabi who scored a hattrick in his last game and has scared defences since the halfway mark of the League.

Sebeta Kenema v Fasil Kenema

Fasil had a huge party last time out as they received their championship Trophy to wild chairs in front of just 2000of their fans who sounded like 20, 000 and while they have looked uninterested since winning the title, they have lost one game and drew one, it will be nice to see if they sign off with a win.

Sebeta have been impressive in the closing stages of the league, winning 4 of the last 5 games, and hope to take something to crown their season, maybe with one more win to finish as high as third.

Ethiopia Coffee v Adama Kenema

Ethiopia Coffee can count on Abubekher Nassir once again to finally push them over the line in their last game to guarantee second place and the Caf Confederations Cup ticket.

Adama are down and out but have still managed to show up in every game and they will want to play the spoiler, but Coffee has a good advantage that even a loss might not cost them as St George have been inconsistent.

Jimma Aba Jifar v Hadiya Hossana

Hadiya Hossana still had a lot to play for until last weekend when they came up against Ethiopia Coffee and their loss to Coffee put paid to their second-place ambition and this game offers them still the chance to win and hope Sebeta and St George implode to give them 3rd place, but Jimma Aba Jifar who like Adama Kenema have been hugging the last two places will be having fun and hoping to pop their party.

Dawa Hotessa has been one of the standout Strikers this season and actually led the scoring earlier in the season with Hadiya Hossana before Mujib Kassim of Fasil and Abubekher Nassir stole the headlines, so, if anything, he would like to take his last stand.
