Bahir Dar City used the power of their new attacking acquisitions well to beat Ethiopia Coffee 3-1, and Adama City defeated Hambericho

It was a really entertaining display by the Tana Waves as Mujib Kassim combined with Cherinet Gugsa and Habtamu Tadesse brilliantly.

Mujib Kassim was on target in the 35th minute to give Bahir a 1-0 lead.

Habtamu Tadesse added a second goal on 45+3 minutes to give them a deserved 2-0 lead going into the break.

Second half was a lot more even with Ethiopia Coffee fighting back from the restart and they soon pulled one back.

Anteneh Tefera with the goal in the 53rd minute to make it 2-1 to narrow Bahir Dar's lead.

However, in the 72nd minute, Cherinet Gugsa put the game beyond coffee with a third goal, and it was enough to earn the Tana Waves a 3-1 win.

Elsewhere, Adama City won their game against hapless Hambericho with a brace from Bona Ali and a late strike from Yosef Tarekegn.

Bona Ali scored late in the first half, a 41st minute goal for 1-0, a scoreline they took to halftime.

Ali completed his brace, seven minutes into the second half on 52 minutes from the penalty spot.

Youth prodigy, Yosef Tarekegn was Adama's breakout Star last season, but not so much this term.

His goal in the 72nd minute not only made it 3-0 but also reminded us why he is highly rated.
