Wolkite City, who are fighting for survival, have their work cut out when they face Dire Dawa City in the Ethiopia Premier League on Thursday.

Ethiopian Insurance, meanwhile, take on Adama City looking to earn their sixth consecutive win as the Week 26 fixtures kick off at Hawassa University Stadium.

Wolkite City need to find a way to win against Dire Dawa if they are to overcome the threat of relegation hanging over them.

Wolkite are on 16 points and currently ranked 14th on the log but their opponents, Dire Dawa City, led by coach Shimels, have not fared any better in terms of form as they have failed to win any of their last three games.

They scored only one goal in these matches and conceded seven goals, including last week's surprise 5-0 defeat by Ethiopian Insurance.

Dire Dawa Kenema have 34 points and are in ninth place.

In the second match of the day, Ethiopian Insurance will meet Adama City.

Insurance have won five matches in a row and did not concede a single goal in the last four games, scoring an impressive 13 goals.

There is a great deal of expectations around coach Gebremedhin Haile and his team with regards to how high they will finish this season after raising their performances following a poor start to the season.

Adama City, on the other hand, have not lost in the last five games, setting the stage for a humdinger of a clash.

Adama won three of these games and shared points in two of them.

Adama City are in fifth place on the table with 41 points and can be equal on points with third-placed Bahir Dar City if they win.
