Champions Red Arrows got off to a winning start in the defence of their MTN Super League title with a 1-0 success over FC MUZA on Wednesday.

Saddam Yusuf Phiri scored the only goal of the game inside two minutes as Arrows, who missed the opening two weekends of the campaign due to CAF Champions League duties, took the three points, with MUZA have just a draw to show from their opening three games.

Nchanga Rangers sit top of the table following a 4-0 success against Lumwana Radiants thanks to a hattrick from Maxwell Mulutula. Laurent Mwanza got the other goal as all their scoring was done inside an hour.

NAPSA Stars claimed a 1-0 win at Nkwazi thanks to Evans Kayombo’s goal midway through the first half, while the matches between Forest Rangers and Green Buffaloes, and Indeni FC and Power Dynamos, finished goalless.

Boniface Sunzu gave Green Eagles the lead against Mutondo Stars, but they were not able to hold on for the win as Titus Chansa equalised 11 minutes from the end.
