There will be eight games played in the MTN Super League this weekend, though holders Red Arrows will not be in action as they compete in the second leg of their CAF Champions League tie.

ZESCO United moved to the top of the table with a midweek draw against Nkwazi FC as they continued an unbeaten (W3 D1) start to the season.

Their early season form will be tested when they go away to second-placed Nchanga Rangers, who will be eager to show their good start was no fluke and they can compete with the best teams in the league.

No team has scored more than Rangers’ eight goals this season – which is double the number of ZESCO – but they have lost their last 14 league games in a row against the latter, dating back to 2013.

Green Buffaloes suffered a first defeat of the season last time out but can bounce back when they host promoted Atletico Lusaka.

The latter have made a solid start to life in the topflight with a win, two draws and a single defeat so far.

This will be a first league clash between the pair.

Forest Rangers are unbeaten this season but have drawn their last three games and will hope to get back to winning ways when they welcome FC MUZA.

MUZA have lost their last six away league games dating back to last season but got a first win of the campaign at home last time out.

They have also not lost to Rangers in six previous league meetings (W4 D2).

Power Dynamos make the trip to ZANACO, who have lost their last two games.

Dynamos are unbeaten this season but have three draws and a win.

The last four meetings between the sides have ended in a stalemate.

Also on Saturday, Green Eagles welcome NAPSA Stars, bottom side Indeni host Kabwe Warriors and Mutondo Stars got to Mufulira Wanderers.

There is one game on Sunday as Nkana FC, who have been a mixed bag so far this campaign, host equally inconsistent Nkwazi.

Both teams have made identical starts with a win and a defeat and two draws.
